An example of the typical Jump School organised by Pathfinder (UK)
was held Saturday, April 12th through Friday, April 18th, 2003
at Texel Airport, on the island of Texel, Holland.
Once you have earned your military jump wings you will be authorized to participate in Pathfinder commemorative jumps as well as make official jumps with paratroopers of other military forces. To see such commemorative jumps made by the Pathfinders, Click Here

The course includes ground training, 5 jumps, Official Dutch military ‘B’ parachutist wings as shown above, official Dutch military jump certificate, if 5 jumps performed, Dutch civilian International jump license as shown above, and Pathfinder Parachute group wings and certificate. Click on Pathfinder icon to view Pathfinder wings. Also included, is use of parachute equipment and a parachute packing course.
During the course you will be taught to pack your own parachute. The parachute used in the training course is a GQ AEROCONICAL. the student shown here is rigging his chute at one of the packing tables. Packing means working with the parachute assembly, less the harness.
Note the red static line. These are the same type of parachutes used in training Dutch military personnel at Texel.
The jumps will be made from an Antonov-2 “Colt”, an ex Warsaw Pact Paratroop training aircraft. The aircraft is certified by the Dutch Military for Parachutist Training. All jumps will be made in the "military style, stand up exit", about as close as you can get to military jumping without having to go through P-company.…
If the course finishes early we try to arrange a day trip to Arnhem. A visit to the Airborne Forces museum tends to put the Parachute course in perspective.
If you have jump experience, either military or civilian, we would like to know. If jump experienced, let us know the number of round canopy jumps and the total number of jumps. We would also like to know if you are in possession of a civilian jump license. If you are interested, let us know!
